Rev. Vinson E. Royal is the son of the Late Rev. Dr. S. J. Royal, the corresponding secretary to the National Baptist Convention, Inc. and Mrs. Latona Royal, a retired educator who taught for forty years. Born seven minutes apart from his twin, he is the youngest of five boys and one girl. He is in the third generation of preachers in this family line. However, this is the first generation where all five of the sons are pastors.
The beginning of Rev. Royals formative educational experience was in the public school systems of Louisville, Kentucky and Fort Worth, Texas. After attending Virginia Union University, he later went on to receive his AA and BA from Beulah Heights Bible University where he graduated in 2002 with a degree in Christian Education, as a Dean’s list student and National honors in Who’s Who. He went on to further matriculate at the Morehouse School of Religion. It was at Morehouse in the Interdenominational Theological Center, where he received his Masters in Divinity degree in May 2014.
Licensed in June of 1991 by the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas, Rev. Royal felt lead by the spirit of God to move to Atlanta, Georgia. In 1992, he joined Beulah Baptist Church where Jerry D. Black serves as pastor. Within the year of 1998 Under Pastor Blac, Vinson E. royal was ordained. Then In the summer of 1999, God saw fit to unite the New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and Rev. Vinson E. Royal as church and Pastor where he served for nine years. During the summer of 2002, the Lord began to create the essence of what would be the start of an unmarked experience to praise, worship and theological teaching. After the New Macedonia tenure, Rev. Royal embarked upon a novel call to create and lead the Praise Factory, which held its first service in November 2008. Then after serving there for several years, the Lord saw fit to bring Rev. Vinson Royal back home to Dallas, Texas. The Emmanuel Fellowship Baptist Church, which was founded by his older brother, Pastor A. E. Royal who made his transition to glory in 2008, called Rev. Vinson Royal on December 21, 2014 as their newly elected pastor.
Rev. Royal approaches the task of ministering with an assortment of humor, stories, informality, and insightful precision in interpreting the Word of God; he has been graced with the ability to reach the masses. Rev. Royal only seeks to be known as the Lord’s child and servant .
